Work to keep doctors in Illinois through advocacy in Springfield and through partnerships with the Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS), the Illinois Civil Justice League and other reform-minded groups. ISMIE and ISMS brought the message to uphold our hard-won medical litigation reform laws to the State Fair and launched a campaign to “sew up lawsuit reform for good” in a series of ads appearing in 20 newspapers across the state. In solidarity with Illinois physicians, the AMA helped to sponsor the campaign.

Ensure that ISMIE policyholders are informed physicians. ISMIE increased publication of Mutual Interests, its policyholder newsletter, to six times per year. ISMIE-news, an e-newsletter launched in 2007, is delivered every Tuesday to policyholders via e-mail. And ISMIE’s web site is updated regularly to assure that policyholders have access to their up-to-date information, any time, day or night.
