Honoring Women in Medicine |
September is officially "Women in Medicine" month. To honor our female colleagues, ISMIE will be offering a special one-day program, on September 20, 2000, at The Drake Hotel in Oak Brook.
The program is titled "Stop Screaming At the Microwave! Innovative Strategies for Life Balance," and will provide creative strategies for balancing personal and professional lives — with specific emphasis on the problems and concerns of female physicians.
The speaker, Mary LoVerde, is the author of a book by the same title. She has appeared on ABC World News Tonight, twice on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and her articles have been published in Family Circle, Parenting, Women’s Day and American Health magazines. Her fast-paced humorous programs show how balanced lives result in greater career productivity and greater personal happiness and professional success.
