That ISMIE insureds are eligible for 30 days' locum tenens coverage at no additional charge?
Locum tenens coverage is required when a physician is temporarily substituting for an ISMIE insured physician and he/she does not have professional liability insurance that would provide coverage for the substituting activity. The first 30 days are provided
at no additional charge.
Simply fill out an application for locum tenens coverage and submit it to ISMIE seven days prior to the beginning of the coverage period.
To obtain a locum tenens coverage application, contact our Underwriting Department at 1-800-782-4767, or download an application at the ISMIE website, at www.ismie.com. Click on the "Coverages" tab, then the "Underwriting Forms and Applications" tab, and scroll down to the locum tenens link.
