Time for a Credit Check! |
Medical license renewal season is here, so tally up the CME credits you've earned since the last renewal cycle. Once again, 150 credit hours are needed for license renewal, and the deadline for meeting that requirement is July 31, 2002.
If you're a few credits short, go online - ISMIE's Risk Management Services can help you close the gap. ISMIE policyholders can earn CME credit by downloading self-study materials from our website at www.ismie.com.
Currently available materials include:
-
14 sets of specialty specific clinical loss prevention recommendations that each offer physician readers one hour of Category 1 CME credit, and
-
ISMIE's revised and expanded risk management self-study coursebook, Managing Your Risk In the Office/At the Hospital, which is approved for up to six Category 1 CME credit hours.
To earn the CME credit, read the guide, complete the Quiz and Evaluation at each item's end, and fax or mail them back to ISMIE at the indicated number or address. All materials can also be obtained directly from ISMIE by calling ISMIE's Risk Management Division at (800) 782-4767, extension 1627. Both the CME materials and CME credit-application processing are provided free to ISMIE policyholders.
You'll need to log in:
- Your 5-digit ISMIE policy number is your user name. (If your policy number has more than five digits, type in only the last five.)
- Your last name in ALL CAPS is your password.
