CME Random Audits Begin!
The Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (IDPR) has begun random audits of physicians who just renewed their licenses, to verify completion of CME requirements.
Only 5 percent of Illinois physicians will be selected. Those who are must have completed 150 hours of CME during the last cycle. At least 60 of those hours must be Category one CME hours; no more than 90 hours can be Category two.
If you are audited, you must provide copies of all certificates for Category one credits, as well as dates and brief descriptions of all Category two CME activities. Physicians who are selected will have 30 days to provide IDPR with proof of completion.
