Expanded choices for self-study

Working with The Sullivan Group, ISMIE Mutual has expanded its online Risk Rewards self-study courses. Originally developed for emergency physicians, these courses address diagnostic issues critical to managing risk not only in emergency medicine, but across all specialties. Policyholders may choose from among 24 courses and earn a 1% premium discount for each successfully completed course (saving up to a maximum of 15% per year). In addition, valuable AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits may be earned. Discover convenient online learning by going to www.ismie.com and clicking on “The Sullivan Group.”

FTEs may now earn Risk Rewards

You are now eligible to earn Risk Rewards if you are part of a group that is provided coverage on a “full-time equivalent” (FTE) basis. (FTE premiums are based on number of patient encounters rather than number of physician group members.) Your group administrator has information on how the benefits of your participation and successful completion of the program’s components will be applied to your group.

Coming in 2006: Fellowship Program

Increase your knowledge of risk management through the ISMIE Mutual Managing Risk “Fellowship Program.” Still under development for its 2006 launch, the program is designed to be a comprehensive education program that, upon completion, will recognize your commitment to managing practice risk. This exciting program will take into account credits you earned in 2004 and 2005, and will offer double-digit savings on your medical liability insurance premium.
