ISMIE Mutual’s premiere collection of risk management brochures, Exploring Liability Issues, has updated its series on internal medicine and has expanded its topics. Updated internal medicine resources cover cardiovascular disease (part one) and colon and lung cancer (part two). These brochures and Exploring Liability Issues in Follow-Up Care were mailed to policyholders in November.

One of the fastest rising areas of litigation involves claims against physicians who treat patients in nursing homes.
