NEW: Risk Managers Earn Risk Rewards – for You!
Clinics and corporations that employ a full-time risk manager who implements a risk management program may now be eligible to receive a 5% Risk Rewards discount for each ISMIEinsured physician within the entity. The discount applies for one year. To find out more, follow the link from the home page at www.ismie.com.
Policyholders Give Claims Service High Marks
“I was profoundly satisfied with my ISMIE claims team and I will remember their kindness and support for as long as I live.”
The above quote represents how ISMIE is doing in providing claims service to policyholders, according to a recent satisfaction survey. On a scale of zero to 10, ISMIE received scores of 9.2 and above for:
- Claims representatives being knowledgeable, courteous and professional.
- Legal counsel preparing an aggressive defense, adequately prepping policyholders for testimony and for being accessible when they had questions about their case.
In addition, policyholders overwhelmingly said they would prefer the same ISMIE representative and defense counsel if faced with another claim.
As always, ISMIE will continue to carefully review all policyholder comments to assure the highest level of physician-first service.
Summer Coverage Solution
Apply for locum tenens coverage when another physician will be covering for you during your time off, and he or she does not have professional liability insurance to cover the substituting activity. Simply fill out and submit a locum tenens application to ISMIE seven days prior to the beginning of the coverage period.
For an application, call the Underwriting Division at 800-782-4767, or download a printable form.
Schedule a Practice Assessment by September 1
Don’t delay – schedule a first-time practice assessment that could make you eligible for a 5% premium discount for two policy years! A practice assessment will help you learn whether you are using the most current and effective risk management practices.
To get started, call the Risk Management Division, 800-782-4767 ext. 1627, to request a “Practice Assessment Guidelines and Expectations” booklet containing pre-assessment preparation guidelines. Then mail or fax a completed “Request for Office Assessment Survey” form, also in the booklet, to ISMIE by September 1.
