Please note that your user name is not case-sensitive; your password is case-sensitive.

1. What is my user name?
 

Physicians
Your user name is your last name + first initial + date of birth. For example:

John Smith, born July 4, 1962
User name: smithj070462

Clinic and Corporation staff (www.ismie.com only)
Your user name is the group's five digit ISMIE policy number.

County Executives (www.isms.org only)
Your user name is the name of your county + MS or CMS

Contracted Brokers
Your user name is the name of your agency. For example:

Illinois Agency
User name: Illinois

I forgot my password. How do I retrieve it?

  If you have completed your account registration your password can be reset online. You will need to remember your user name and the answer to the security question you set during registration. You may reset your password here.
   
3. What does case-sensitive mean?
 

Your password is case-sensitive and requires your to enter it in exactly as it was created. If an UPPERCASE letter is mistakenly entered as lowercase, it will not be accepted. For example:

stethoscope ≠ Stethoscope
illinois ≠ Illinois
basketballDoc ≠ basketballdoc

4. Can I have my user name and password e-mailed to me?
 

Yes! To request your user name and a new temporary password, please e-mail onlinehelp@isms.org. Please provide:

  • Your full name
  • Mailing address
  • E-mail address
  • Date of birth
5. Can I change my password?
  Yes! You can change your password at any time after your account has been registered by visiting our change password page. You will be prompted to enter your user name and your current password. Go to the profile self-manage page and select "change your password" to get started.
   
6. How do I logout from your web site?
  You will automatically be logged out when you close your browser window.
   
7. Why can't I login?
 

A login error may be caused by one (or more) of the following:

  • You have not registered your account
  • You have incorrectly typed your user name and/or password
  • Your password is case-sensitive and must be typed exactly as it was submitted upon registration.
  • Your account is locked due to too many incorrect login attempts

8. I reset my password, and the screen indicated my password was successfully changed, but I still can not access the site. What do I do now?
 

Unsuccessful login may be caused by one (or more) of the following:

  • You have incorrectly typed your user name and/or password
  • Your account is locked due to too many incorrect login attempts

9. When I am registering my account and/or attempting to reset my password, I am getting security pop-up windows. What do I do now?
 

The pop-up windows that you get are security windows, you are able to proceed with registering your account or resetting your password by clicking ok or yes to these.

The first security pop-up window will be asking about a digital certificate, you will need to click ok.

The second security pop-up window will be a security alert, you will need to click yes to proceed.
