Seconds-to-Minutes Emergencies for Pediatric Patients Provide Their Own Unique Challenges - New ISMIE Managing Risk Coursework

February 5, 2019

Seconds-to-minutes emergencies are complicated cases requiring immediate evaluation and treatment.

Because such cases are generally better understood in the adult population than in pediatrics, ISMIE is offering new coursework to help identify and treat such cases among children. Pediatric Seconds-to-Minutes Emergencies, Part 1 and Part 2 focuses on key signs and symptoms of seconds-to-minutes emergencies involving pediatric patients, approaches to expedited evaluation and treatment and specific task assignment to team members.

It’s all part of the latest risk management education opportunities available to ISMIE policyholders in 2019. Here’s what’s available.
