ISMIE Courses Fulfill New Illinois CME Mandates

October 15, 2019

Did you know Illinois lawmakers passed new CME requirements for licensure renewal? When you renew your medical license in 2020 you will be asked to attest that you’ve taken at least one hour of sexual harassment prevention training. If you hold a controlled substance license, the requirement is three hours of CME coursework on opioid safety.

Access on-demand courses that fulfill these requirements through ISMIE’s risk management program. The following education is currently available to policyholders at no cost.

Sexual Harassment Prevention – One hour required for all Illinois licensed professionals

Opioids – Three hours required for all controlled substance license holders

ISMIE policyholders have access to more than 100 on-demand courses to help them stay current on risk management issues and earn CME.
