Have You Listed All Appropriate Staff for ISMIE Coverage?

As a reminder, please let ISMIE know about everyone on your clinical staff who must be included to secure medical liability coverage. You may have several non-physician employees, such as physician assistants, certified nurse practitioners, certified clinical nurse specialists, certified nurse midwives, certified registered nurse anesthetists, or other allied health professionals on your team.

To ensure that your employed allied health professionals (AHPs) as listed above have the protection they need, please notify ISMIE of all those who should be listed on the policy. Coverage is subject to an application which must be approved and accepted by ISMIE. Once approved, these employees must be named on the policy for coverage. No coverage will be provided if the listed professionals have not been added by name to the policy.

In addition, please report any related healthcare professionals that are part of your practice, including chiropractors, dentists, optometrists, pharmacists, podiatrists and psychologists who are in a separate ISMIE risk category and require their own policy limits of liability.
