COVID-19 has forced everyone to spend more time at home and that creates a potential increased risk for many victims of domestic and other violence, including children, the elderly and victims of human trafficking. As a healthcare professional, you are in a position to recognize signs of possible abuse and intervene and/or report it, as appropriate. This new installment of Lessons from the Field on vulnerable populations is intended to assist you in identifying what to watch out for and how to help those patients who are victims of violence.
