Risk Management and Patient Safety Education

ISMIE's innovative risk management and patient safety program has been helping physicians and healthcare professionals reduce exposure, advance their quality of care, and improve defensibility against claims since 2004.

ISMIE’s comprehensive risk management program is designed to support physicians and healthcare professionals in their commitment to providing the best and safest patient care possible.

We offer a wide array of risk management resources for policyholders, including:

Risk Assessments

ISMIE offers eligible policyholders of all practice sizes the opportunity to undergo a risk assessment. Upon completion of the assessment, you will receive personalized feedback and recommendations to help address any potential issues.

Many of our courses also offer AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM or Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points, and some count toward physician licensure requirements (e.g., opioid prescribing or sexual harassment prevention training).

Developed to give you quick and easy access to our most valuable information, our resource library features concise, useful articles on risk management issues that may arise in your practice or facility. From burnout to emergency planning, we’ve got you covered.
