New Resource Available to Help You Understand Illinois’ New Telemedicine Law

August 10, 2021

On July 21, 2021, Governor Pritzker signed legislation to expand patient access to telemedicine services in Illinois. Many of the state emergency telemedicine rules that were authorized during COVID-19 are now permanent.

Our friends at the Illinois State Medical Society have developed a new Issue Brief which explains the new law. This resource is available to ISMIE policyholders at no cost.

Telemedicine in Illinois: Emergency Measures Made Permanent offers insights on the law’s provisions and how Illinois’ new rules relate to telemedicine guidance for federally regulated health plans. More guidance on telemedicine is also available in our resource library.
