Violent Attacks on Healthcare Workers Escalate in Recent Weeks

Healthcare facilities continue to be one of the most violent workplaces in the country. Recent tragic attacks on physicians and other healthcare professionals at Provident Hospital in Chicago, UPMC Memorial Hospital in York, Pennsylvania and HCA Palms West Hospital in Florida reinforce the necessity of having strategies in place to prevent and/or defuse violence in medical facilities.
